At Refined Eye Care & Eyewear Gallery, we offer comprehensive eye care for all ages, including our youngest patients. With state-of-the-art technology and a warm, inviting environment, we prioritize patient comfort and confidence in our treatment.

We understand that the traditional method of measuring eye pressure—the infamous “air puff” test—can be startling and uncomfortable. That’s why we’ve implemented a “No AirPuff” policy. While it’s still necessary to check eye pressure, our gentle, patient-friendly instruments get the job done without the startle and discomfort of the air puff, ensuring a more pleasant experience during your comprehensive eye exam.

Optical Coherence Tomography, or “OCT,” is a cutting-edge imaging test that allows us to view the intricate layers of your retina. Many diseases manifest in ways that only OCT can reveal, including early stages of Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, corneal deformities, and diabetic-related swelling in the back of the eye. Incorporating this technology into our evaluations dramatically enhances our ability to diagnose and manage eye conditions at the earliest possible stage.
In addition to providing top-tier aesthetic procedures, Refined Eye Care & Eyewear Gallery is also your destination for state-of-the-art glasses and contact lens fittings. Utilizing the latest optical technology, our experienced team ensures that every aspect of your vision is meticulously addressed. From precision measurements to personalized frame selection, we promise an unparalleled fitting experience that delivers both comfort and style. Whether you require contact lenses that cater to a demanding lifestyle or desire designer frames to match your aesthetic, we have the expertise to refine your view to your exact specifications.
Children’s eyes require special attention as they grow, and our team is skilled at identifying and managing a range of pediatric eye conditions.

Pediatric eye exams are crucial for identifying early abnormalities in a child’s visual development since early detection is critical. The American Optometric Association advises that children should have their first eye exam by an eye care specialist at 6–12 months, once again between ages 3-5, before they start first grade, and annually after that.
Dr. Raley sees children ages 12 months and up. Annual internal eye health evaluations are necessary to monitor a child’s neurological health, as many eye diseases can manifest before symptoms are noticeable. The earlier any issues are detected, the better the treatment options and outcomes. Book an appointment for your child to start them on the path to lifelong eye health!
Children’s eyes require extra attention to ensure they develop appropriately. We’re devoted to safeguarding your child’s vision with the revolutionary MiSight® lenses. Our Myopia control strategies, including the MiSight® Program, actively slow the progression of Myopia, helping your child maintain better vision over time.
If your child is already nearsighted, you can book an appointment with Dr. Raley to discuss treatment options.
The Brilliant Futures™ Program was created to provide children with proactive and progressive myopia management. This program encompasses personalized care plans that support your child’s vision and eye health, crafting a bright future they can look forward to—one with a clear and healthy vision. Because we participate in The Brilliant Futures Program, we currently utilize the MiSight Lens, currently the only FDA-approved contact lens to treat Myopia in children. Does anyone in your child’s family wear glasses or have an eye turn or “lazy eye”? If so, your child may be at a higher risk for developing amblyopia. Amblyopia, commonly known as “lazy eye,” is a vision development disorder where an eye fails to achieve normal visual acuity, even with prescription glasses or contact lenses. Amblyopia typically develops during infancy and early childhood when nerve pathways between the brain and an eye aren’t properly stimulated, causing the brain to favor one eye over the other.
Without early diagnosis and treatment, amblyopia can permanently reduce vision and depth perception, potentially limiting a child’s educational and career opportunities. In many cases, this condition can be effectively treated with prescription eyeglasses.
At Refined Eye Care & Eyewear Gallery, we prioritize early detection and treatment of amblyopia, offering customized therapy options to correct visual discrepancies and support healthy vision development in our pediatric patients.
Myopia, commonly known as nearsightedness, is a condition where objects appear blurry at a distance. There has been a concerning increase in the severity and frequency of this eye condition. Two primary factors contribute to its escalation:
Even if neither parent wears glasses, a child still has a 1 in 4 chance of becoming myopic (“nearsighted”). Myopia can significantly affect quality of life through the need for thick corrective lenses and can cause poor peripheral vision. More importantly, it increases the risk of more serious eye conditions such as glaucoma, retinal detachment, maculopathy, and even blindness.
By addressing these factors and promoting a balanced approach to visual health, we can work towards reducing the impact of Myopia.
In 2015, the World Health Organization released a report highlighting the alarming global rise of Myopia. Studies indicate that children are developing Myopia at increasingly younger ages. Astonishingly, the number of children aged 10 to 16 with Myopia has more than doubled. These statistics serve as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for action.
